Later, PlayStation 3 owners can Recognize

Currently Sony is developing a new technology for the PlayStation 3. Not to improve the quality of the graphics or the like, but a feature that is able to identify the owner of the console gamer.

However, the proposed patent is a little different, Sony describe the processes and tools that are able to identify the owner of electronic goods. In essence, no matter what device it later, be able to recognize who the owner is or who is using it.

In May 2012 Sony Computer Entertainment filed an application for a patent on biometric security. Not a new thing indeed, for a number of devices such as mobile phones and Kinect was already having a face recognition feature for that purpose.

Sony did not mention the details of the technology, they just mention that might mean a biometric sensor fingerprint sensor, sensor arm, facial recognition systems, retina scanners, voice pattern analysis and DNA analysis.

More great again, there is also written that the security system does not use any passwords or codes for authentication, the device was able to immediately find out who the users.

Something like this picture technology patents filed by Sony. As we quoted from PlayStation Lifestyle, Saturday (09/21/2012).

So it could have been, the PlayStation 3 will be able to recognize those who use it. Eits .. but for what?

Sony might be to apply these technologies to combat piracy, or it could be to limit the content to fit the age of the player. But it could also, this technology used for means advertisers.
